Friends in all Seasons

Seasons come and go. People come and go.

There are big moments in life. Moments that you begin to realize certain people are placed in your life for a season.

These last few years have been such a growing period in my life. I have asked hard questions of myself and others. I have met amazing people. I have run in the wrong direction. I have been pulled back. I have hope. I have opened up. I have shed tears. I have been hurt. I have been loved. I have questioned....
I really have grown.

I wish I could explain to each person who has come in my life over this season just how much of an encouragement you all have been. Some people came in and out quickly. Others have lingered and still others have planted seeds in my heart that will remain forever.

Last night while sitting on a boulder at Moss Rock, laughing and sharing my heart with people I love. I was reminded about how much I want life to be the same. How lately I've wanted my seasons to stop, friends to remain.

I've thought about that all night. I realize that this is selfish. That the seasons and people are what mold and shape me. The changes make me look at myself and God with new eyes.

Seasons come and go. People come and go.

But I want to say there are some... so close to my heart. That our friendship and love is rooted too deep for time or distance to change it.

Seasons come and go. People come and go. But some remain even if only in my heart.
